| Those are some nice looking plants you have! The only culture tips I have to offer, you probably already know; diffused light, good humidity and plenty of air circulation. Good luck! ![]() |

| How nice!! What healthy looking plants! I know that Phrags don't like to dry out. You don't want them too wet, but not to get really dry. I can't wait to see them in bloom! Congratulations! ![]()

| Phrag. caudatum is a phrag that doesn't care for wet feet. I almost killed mine by sitting it in the typical phrag saucer of water. He is on the road to recovery now and is kept damp, not sopping wet. You will love the Phal. cornu-cervi - it is a summer bloomer and mine is blooming from three spikes this year. No special culture for it, I grow it like any other phal. Nice additions to the family - enjoy! Brooke |

| The roots look very for the cornu-cervi and the phrag. For the i don't know at this time. I will work on it this afternoon. About the care for the phrag, i would like to know if it was a fast grower? also, if i put then in something like S/H, but woolrock as substrat not LEAD, that a good ideas or not!? And lets me know if you have any ideas about time ofr hte first bloom of this guys? Last edited by bast; 07-14-2008 at 07:21 AM. |

| I'm sorry bast, I don't know anything about woolrock, I have never used it. The caudatim, IMHO, will hate s/h. The one I almost killed has two new growths and the growth that was blooming when I got it, is very ugly but did produce the new growths once I corrected the culture. Your cornu-cervi will probably bloom next season. Brooke |

| Those are some great looking plants bast!! I'm especially fond of the phrags and paphs myself. Incredibly interesting flowers! Can't wait to see pics of your blooms. Like Brooke, I'm not familiar w/woolrock so I couldn't advise on that. I use a mix of fine bark and soiless potting mix for my phrags and phal mix for my paphs. I'm sure someone who has experience w/woolrock will be along very soon. |

| Understand that "fast" is a relative term with orchids, I think Phrags grow fast. They usually grow and mature a fan in one year such that they flower every year....usually.

| Well as i read on other link, Sticky: Phragmipediums, I think it was not a good idea to put this phrag caudatum with a sauccer of nutritive solution!! But why it good for the others phrag and not with this one?? Do you think it better way to remove the sauccer? |
