It has opened!!!

When I got home last night the first flower had begun to open! I woke up at 6 am to check on it before the lights came on and two of them were open. Then I woke up again at 10 am and two more were open! I took the rest of these pictures around noon! As of 1 pm there is only one left to open. If you look at the very last picture and maximize it you can see a slight color diference in the flower and the spurs. The spurs are light pink. On the white flower that was getting ready to open if you look closely you can see a darker colored stripe in the petals they are pink but the had faded by the time it opened. I will take some better pictures tonite when I get back home. I had to lower the white balance to pick up the flowers in better detail. I am so excited!!! I couldn't smell anything yet. Hopefully I can later tonite or in the morning tomorrow.

Patti: you were so right, lol! I was only expecting to have one flower open but all except for that little one in the middle opened today!

That is fabulous! Mine had a much stronger scent in the evening so when you get home I am sure you will be able to smell that lovely smell

Great job!

I sent an email to Hoosier Orchids so am waiting for a reply. I sent it later on Sat so I suppose I won't get anything until Tuesday.

I wasn't expecting them to all open up together. I watered yesterday afternoon so that may be why. It seemed like every time I watered they grew a bunch. I as just using r/o water with superthrive and worm tea but I ran out of worm tea so it hasn't had any for the last 2 waterings.

Kortney~ I don't want to sound mean or anything, but I'm glad you didn't win the book. I just couldn't bare to see you pay that much for it. Did you get a hold of Satomi yet?

7/13/08 pictures from the evening

I hope you guys don't get tired of pictures, lol! (I'm glad, I am picture happy.) Here are last night's pictures. Oh, I smelled it, smells very good. I kinda thought it smelled it like fruity pebbles but it could have been my hunger that made me identify it with that, lol!
