This orchid was bought from an exhibition at Mumbai, India two year back.

Identifying orchids is difficult and when they have no flowers, it's nearly impossible. Why? Because so many different orchids look exactly alike when not in flower. Until your orchid flowers about all we can say is that it appears to be some sort of cattleya or laelia.

I agree with the Cattleya family of some sort. You have it in a very interesting growing medium. Are those little logs? Has the plant ever bloomed for you?

Thanks kmarch and patticake for your replies. Since two years I am patiently waiting to see its flower but no luck. Medium used - teakwood chips and banyanwood bark cuttings and some charcoal and brick.
