They look like angels, not dragons--heavenly blooms (pun intended)

How nice. I love the dark color. What is the fragrance? Can you smell it from far away or only when you are right up next to it? Thanks for sharing.

It's hard to describe, I would say it's a 'sweet' scent. You can smell it from about ten feet away, maybe more. At first I could smell the scent even when I wasn't near the plant. I have since gotten used to the fragrance. When I was in the store, the whole area was filled with the scent. I had to smell each orchid to identify which one the scent was coming from. That's how I wound up buying it. There was a beautiful yellow-flowered Oncidium that I passed up.

I have a question... now that the bloom's finished, I want to re-pot. It has a fine root system and it seems to be potted in a fine grade volcanic rock. I'd like to use the same medium that it's accustomed to, but I can't find that medium anywhere to purchase. I do have sphagnum moss, different grades of bark, coir and I just bought some aliflor, which I am tempted to try, but have never...
Opinions, please
