Paph delenatii-yellow brownish leaf

Hi Guys,

I am a bit worried about my delenatii paph. This is my first try with a delenatii and a few days ago I noticed the bottom leaf yellowing and turning brown as you can see in the pictures. Is this normal as in Phals or should I be worried. The top leaf just finished growing a month ago(is the top one the sheath?) and I repotted it about 3 weeks ago and there was no serious rot issues. just the normal few small rotted roots.

I would appreciate your thoughts on this one. I really want this one to bloom

thanks!

Fadi

Hi! The bottom leaf many times goes yellow and dies. As long as it's the older growth, I think it's o.k....That's what I've found, anyways. I'm sure that others with more experience will add their opinions! It looks really healthy, otherwise!

Hi Fadi.
I guess as Patti stated. The older leaves sometimes die off for no apparent reason.
the rest of the leaves look healthy enough, any new growth started to show yet.

Thanks Guys for your answers. No new growth has started yet. The upper leaf just completed its growth just recently and it has still to bloom hopefully

Hi Fadi,

I have to agree with the others that appears to be an older leaf growth dying off. I wouldn't worry about it.

Don't attempt to remove the leaf. Just leave it. The plant will use the resources from it until it's completely shriveled. Then you can just pluck it off.

Be patient... it may not bloom for a few more months, yet. Just be good to it, and you'll get your reward in time!
