| Its in a southern window. I water about every three days and feed once a week. I was so afraid that I would kill this one, but so far so good. Thanks for looking. I'll post one more when the flower is fully extended and try to give you a size comparison. |

| Those are probably one of my most favorite orchid flowers of all. Pictures of them are one thing, but seeing them in person is stunning. I went up to Owen's Nursery in the mountains of NC a couple weeks ago, and they had rows and rows of these all in full bloom. I wish I could have gotten a picture! Thanks for sharing! |

| Hera, How nice! If it's it's first blooming, the size could be a little larger next time. Also, the bloom usually gets a little bigger after it's been open for a bit. Thanks for posting the reference in size. I always thought they were about the size of Tolumnia blooms until I saw one in person!! Wowsers!! Nice bloom!

| It's in the standard bark, charcol, perlite. I think that batch came from BetterGro. I prefer Schultz because its not as dusty, but I haven't been able to find it in a while. I left styrofoam in the bottom for drainage and the mix is more open than I do most of my other orchids. I water about every three days. MSU fertilizer. So far so good. |

I was hoping she still had a little ways to go! I like Schultz's mix, also-The "good" places around here all sell Better Gro, which I don't like as much. I get Schultz at Walmart!
