For cultural purposes: what in the wide world of sports is my new NoId?

I got a NoID because it was, well, adorable. The blooms are slightly bigger around than a pencil eraser and there's a lot of them. The blooms look like oncidiums; the leaves and pseudobulbs do not (the leaves are thicker, for one). Any guesses as to what family this belongs in so I can give it the right amount of light, etc?

You've got a Comparettia of some sort. Comparettia are members of the Oncidium Alliance.

Baker & Baker have a culture sheet on Comparettia speciosa, one of the Comp.species. You can read the sulture sheet at: Comparettia speciosa Culture

One of the rewarding things about the hobby is that after a while you start hearing things and thinking "Hey, I knew that!" and even more rewarding is further on down the road when someone asks you about that same thing and you can help them!

I like it. Love the tiny flowers and colors. Adorable Noid!
