| Hi! It would help if we knew what type of orchids they are. The Vanda isn't one I know about, since I live where it's not enough light, so I don't grow them. I'm not sure on your other plant....

| Your Aranda is a Vanda hybrid. The following was taken from the orchid species encyclopedia ********* Vanda and Zygopetalum hybrids This genus is the result of crossing the genera Arachnis and Vanda. Generally they need a lot of direct sunlight, at least 3 hours a day. They like Arachnis need to be supported by something as they can become quite tall.
In addition, all Vandaceuos types need high quantities of water as the bare roots dry so quickly. In Florida, we try to water at least every day and twice a day when very dry.

| Thanks for the info, Jerry! Will water them regularly. Regarding light, do they have to get direct sunlight? Will morning sun work for them? I kept them in shade the last few days. Just afraid that I do not burn them with excess light. |
