Pics of 3 out of 4 new babies!

Hi! Here's 3 out of 4 of my new chids!

#3 My new Masdevalia (White Swallow x Minaret) It arrived today from Joe! Thanks, Joe! I'll be growing it in my basement under lights. It's cooler down there. I've never grown a Masdie before, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed....

#1 Encyclia Green Hornet from Oak Hill.- 2 and possibly 3 bloom stalks... I LOVE it! Also 1 of my 2 kitties!

#2 The tag still reads Brassavola digbyana, but I believe the new name is Rhyncholaelia digbyana- At least for now... Or do I have that backwards? I'm glad I have it anyways! I love the bloom! (you can see BOTH of my kitties in this one!)

-----------------------------
My other new chid is the ghost orchid. My files won't read the pictures that are on my card.... I've got a message in to my son for help!
I took several pics of Ghostie in his new home. The comp. isn't picking them up. (I'll post them asap....) sorry....

Ooh I can't wait to see your ghost! I have only seen pictures from growers and of course the infamous one in Adaptation! They are so beautiful. I would love to have one some day. After seeing that movie I thought for sure that the were unattainable legally. I was surprised at how affordable and available they are. Do we have a sticky for those? If not we should make one and you can put all your pictures on it. I also can't wait to see to the blooms on your Encyclia Green Hornet.

Patti, great choices and your cats....love that black and white one. What a face!

I hope (and I already know) you enjoy your Green Hornet as much as I do mine. It's an interesting plant and those bulbs are incredible. Yours is much bigger than mine was when I got it. This must be it's prime growing season because I've gained 6 new bulbs since having it. It's been averaging twice a week watering. The blooming is so interesting too, starting with a big fat cluster of buds and as each bud blooms, the inflorescence grows taller and drops the next bud into position, above the last bloom while maintaining the cluster of buds at the very top of the inflorescence.. Did I just make sense? Anyway, you'll see what I mean.

I'm anxious to see the Ghost Orchid. You're brave.....

Enjoy all your newbies and keep posting updates.

Sandra, I saw yours a while back and the proverbial "seed" was planted! This just confirms it! I am very happy with Oak Hill as well.. J&L orchids are good, too.

Agreed. You need it. Absolutely a must have. I know.... I have one. Not the Green Hornet, but the species cochleata. Close enough

We're all contagious here. Because of Clara (Clarita), I MUST have a Coelogyne pandurata.
