| The key to your question is "bottom". The NORMAL growth pattern for phals is to loose 1-2 bottom leaves per year, which are replaced by 2-3 new leaves growing at the top. So, if everything else is at it seems - should be no problem. (If you don't mind, please update your profile so we can see where in the world you live. This may help as members consider this when giving advice. My issues are influenced by where you live and where you grow your plants). |

| "Not much light" is a relative term. The important thing is to give your phal enough light. Bright, indirect light is best. An east window is good or beside a south window, out of the direct sun.
