Pic of my Cyc. new growth.

New growth on my Cycnoches cooperi 'SVO III' FCC/AOS x Cycnoches Jean E. Monnier '#2' It's not as impressive as the after dark project chids, but it's doing well!

Patti, all Catasetinae are impressive and I mean, ALL!

Do you buy yours online? Ever buy from Sunset Valley Orchids?

How are you growing yours? Medium, under lights, etc.?

Patti -- Your Cyc. looks really good. I can hardly wait to see the blooms on that one.

Sandra -- She did buy from Sunset Valley Orchids (i.e. SVO in the name ). I believe she mentioned it in another thread.

Very exciting new growth you have there Patti. I'm still waiting for mine. Darn! Why do they take so long for shipping! Curios to know what color the blooms are.

Sandra, Yes, Sunset Valley is where I got my Cyc.- I have it in Schultz's Orchid mix. I'm growing this guy in a North window. It was nice out today, so I had it on my back porch with my Myrmecophila thomsoniana for some sunshine! They both liked it! I love watching this guy grow. It's so cool. I water it most days- I'm a watering nut- But up here, there's low humidity so the mix dries fast. I'll keep you posted!

Arlene- Lol! I never got the connection with the SVO- Duh! Thanks for pointing that out! I'm looking forward to this guy blooming too. I can't wait!

Solay- I'm with you on the waiting thing. I know that most places wait until Mon. or Tues. to ship so that the package won't be stuck sitting somewhere over the weekend.- I'm worse than a kid at Christmas when I'm waiting for a shipment! Fred said that this one is anywhere from brown to a bronzie-color w/ spots. They vary. I'll post pics. when (and if!) it blooms!
