| We had a great time. Quiet, relaxing, peaceful. but -Too short! Jenny- I didn't actually pot it up till I got home....o.k., you can stop laughing now...I just let it out of it's restraints and soaked it at the hotel.

| patticake, I think you must have gotten your red chid when the shipment had just come in. I've had to take back a few orchids to Loew's because I just didn't want to experience the heartache of purchasing a dying plant without being able to save it. I recently bought BLC Ports of Paradise 'Emerald Isle' with two live roots on the newest growth for $5.99. I think the best thing to do is to check Loew's every week or so because new shipments come in all the time. Enjoy your new baby. I was also lucky to get three Tolumnias that were out of bloom for $1 each. They're doing great. God luck on your next scavaging trip! |

| Slc Jewelbox 'Scheherazade' is a large growing Cattleya and can quickly fill a 6 inch pot Be careful of buying these bags cats from the photos. The photo is only generic of the type of orchid not the exact plant. In general, I find the tags to be accurate.

| Patti, That orchid is one I have been looking at for a while (like ten years) and wondering if I could find room for it. My chids are getting smaller by the minute, but it is still a gorgeous bloom. Hope it looks as pretty in your collection as pics I have seen--it will be a wonderful reminder of your trip BTW, I found the "delete" button by accident. It is in the Manage Attachments section where you add the actual pictures to upload --in the same window that says "Browse"--just below that and to you right. Good luck

| Patti, check Loew's about every two weeks for new shipments. I went yesterday and bout a purple catt. There were two plants in the pot. One has three growths and the other has two and is in the process of growing a third. They had just gotten the shipment in and had a number of red and yellow catts too. It's worth it to check out Loew's on a regular basis! |

It's Pot. Hawaiian Thrill 'Paradise'. If the bloom looks like its picture, it will be really nice! The price was right, so we'll see.

| Tobi, thanks for the show. Every single plant is beautiful. Patti, I haven't seen that orange catt. in Baltimore but I'll keep my eyes open for it. I bought one of the larger ones and that's doing well. I expect it to bloom on it's next growth. The picture on the package was titled white with colored lip. The cross is Cattleya intermedia x BL Morning Glory. I can't wait to see what it will look like. |

| You sound like me Patti....lol!! We went to Myrtle beach a couple of years ago and I came home with 3 cacti and 1 orchid. I would have bought more if they were in better shape. We're going back up there in a few weeks so we'll see what I come home with this time
