Propetalum

Hello!

I went to my first orchid show this weekend and it was amazing! Anyways, I got what I thought was a Zygo. Jumpin' Jack, but it turned out to be a Propetalum Bumble Bee. I am just as happy with it, but I am wondering, are their different cultural requirements for a Propetalum? It sure is a gorgeous flower though, I'll be sure to post a picture as soon as I can!

Thanks,
Sarah

I got my first one this year as well. The person I purchased it from said it was easier to rebloom than a zygo. I'm not the world's best zygo grower (have four of them) as mine all look a little spindly. Word I've got is treat like you would your cymbidiums - good light except for the middle part of the day and keep slightly on the moist side. Yes, post a pic when you can! I have a pic of mine on the forum as well somewhere. Try here! http://www.orchidgeeks.com/forum/gen...gopetalum.html

oo, how pretty! Mine has burgundy/green petals and a bright bluish purple lip.

I don't have a clue, but maybe mine has the male/female parents switched from yours in order to have the overall yellow appearance? I will look forward to seeing a pic of yours.
