Seeds need to be grown in sterile conditions. They are removed and placed in a laboratory flask with an agar solution and left until the plants are about 1 1/2 inches then removed to another sterile flask with less plant density or if large enough then potted. It is not a simple process like growing tropical plants from seed. If you want to do it the instructions are too long to post here and you will have to search the INTERNET for the extensive instructions.

Hi Jerrymeola! Your seed pod will be ready to pick in about 120 days from pollination of the flower--when time gets closer, look for swelling of the pod, turning brown, yellow, etc.-It's important to keep tabs on it very close, because one day it will open and the wind will blow the seed all away, after you pick the pod, place it in a new coffee filter and put in a clean mason jar--some orchid seeds have been germinated after years after picking--Norm |
