| I am using the skewer method, hoping that I won't water it too much. When it is nearly dry I will water. I also assumed that using the basket meant more air will come in and dry the bark. I will do an update of the situation with the basket. I am hoping for good results |

| armeniacum in baskett Hi Very interesting way to grow the armeniacum. They have a bad habit also of sending the stolens down into the bottom of the pot also. I have about 12 plants and the are repotted each year. if I am lucky on repotting i can usuall manage to lift the stolen up near the top of the pot hope it continues to grow. Mostly the abort once you disturb them. Usually some manage to come out of the bottom drainage hole and continue to grow in a good plant. I tried slatted side pots but the dried out to quickly and the plant did not do so well. I am going to repott some of them this spring into clear Phallie pots so as soon as I see a stolen reach the side or bottom of the pot I can cut a hole to allow the stolen to come out and grow on. Will send a photo of the one growing out of the bottom of the pots drainage hole tomorrow. its 10 pm now. The are one of the most lovely golden Paph flowers one could grow. Cheerio Ron ![]() |

Cheerio Ron Just an update with a picture of the plant growing out of the bottom of the pot. This plant is armeniacum x maliopense (Norito Hasegawa) I find both parents do the same thing from time to time. this is why I will try the clear Phallie pot.. Cheerio Ron ![]() |
