| The green nubs could be new roots or new canes. Without a picture it will be hard to know now. You will know soon though. You are also right that a phal type Den will send flower spikes from the top of the cane. As for the mini Phal, if there are two crowns then you have two separate plants. They do not have multiple growths like a Den. It could be a basal keiki or the grower simply put to small plants in the same pot. When repotting you want to take the same care with the roots as you would if it was a single plant. You might try soaking it (after out of the pot) to soften the roots so it will be easier to separate them. If you have pictures of either it will be easier to give more accurate advice. |

| Congratulations on your new growth! Dens like smaller pots- also, some like a large, full plant with lots of bloom, so you don't have to separate the plant unless you're planning on sharing it. Good growing!
