Talking My new orchid!

Hello,

i swung by the greenhouse I usually shop at today and found they had many orchids on clearance that were done flowering, yet still healthy plants. I chose one I knew I didnt have, but still need some advice as far as how to care for it and information about it, if anyone knows.

The tag on the orchid said Bllra. Peggy Ruth Carpenter 'Morning Joy'. Is this an oncidium alliance? How close is the culture to that of dendrobium? Does anyone know what this is a cross of?

Thanks,
Sarah

Dendrobium are a very large diverse group of orchids with varying cultural requirements. Check out the Oncidium culture sheet found at AOS | Home for info on how to care for your Beallara. Lots of forum members grow these too, and grow them quite well. They'll probably have a few tips as well.

Beallara Peggy Ruth Caprenter is a cross between Beallara Tahoma Glacier and Miltonia Purple Queen.
