Brassada Orange Delight 'Starbek'

I bought this orchid last month, it had two flower spikes. I removed spikes because plant was in poor condition (too much light)... I also transplanted plant in fresh, and draining mix (bark and hydroton). Is there anyone who grows this hybrid? I wonder is there any difference in culture between this plant and Oncidium?

It's an Oncidium Alliance plant to be sure but I've never grown an Ada hybrid so I'm not sure if there are any specific quirks. At least for the time being you're probably safe to give it oncidium culture.

I grow it!
It's been a REALLY slow grower for me. Technically it's my fiance's one and only orchid, so we can blame him for it.
Ok... too bright of light will cause this thing to turn almost completely purple. Be careful with sunburn...but if it remains purple, it's fine. At least that is what I've found with mine. This one has been working on a new growth since we bought it...about 10 months ago. Actually, it's starting now starting a bloom spike from that growth, which I just noticed a few days ago. I grow it in a south-facing window with supplemental flourescent lights in coconut husk and fir back mix, gets watered once a week usually. Haven't had problems with it besides sunburn and it just being so darn slooooooooow.

i bought mine with burned leaves... Just like you said, totally purple! I've read that they require more shade. Also, when I transplanted it, almost all roots were dead (too much water in garden centre), but plant does not show any sign of dehydration.. Plant has 4 new growths which hasn't grown since plant is at my place (one month), again, you are right.

I think I'll move it in some darker place... At the moment plant recieve some direct sunlight.

I suppose ill have to be veeeeery patient!

Hey, my Orange Delight has been in bloom for about a week now and I just noticed today that it has a slight fragrance. To me, it smelled like cinnamon, with a bit of honey. Sweet and spicy! Just thought I would let you know.
Also, the orange color of it seems much more intense this time around.

Congrats Snowballsarebad! I love the color orange on orchid blooms. Plus the added
fragrance. Can you post a pic?

Yes, like honey... The scent will get stronger as the bloom gets older. Congratulations!
