I'm afraid I have not had very much experience with Miltonias. I think I have only grown 2 in the entire time I have been growing orchids.

Can you give me more details on what potting medium you're using, watering and fertilizing frequency, and growing conditions you have? Also, the plant's name and a picture of the plant in question would be very helpful.

An east facing window is perfect for it. Make sure your Miltonia is getting direct, filtered light for a few hours. It likes it moist, not wet. Miltonias grow in cool to intermediate temperatures.

That's all I can suggest until I (and others who grow Miltonias) get more info. from you.

care is generally like other oncidium alliance plants, but definitely keep them cooler (under 75 days) with good air circulation.

Maybe in California an east window will do, but here in central New Jersey I need to have my plant in a west window. It also likes lots of water.

Thank you all so much for trying to help me. I would post a picture of it, but honestly its just two little nubbies in the pot. I dont know the potting medium because its in the same pot it was bought in, Im pretty sure its just fir bark. The little tag that my daughter removed and lost said it was a Miltonia "Leash". It had red flowers for about a week after my Mom brought it home. It was in a south facing window recieving light that was filtered by a tree (just like my Phals who are very happy there.) I moved it over by my African violets where to a west facing window so it would recieve a softer evening light. Am I helping or hurting????

We don't know where you're located, so we can't telol you. Light is different in each part of the country, and indeed in different countries.

I'm guessing from a quick google search you have a Miltoniopsis Bert Fields 'Leash'.
Here in SoCal I've moved my sickly Mtps. outside and has seen them really bounce back.
In general, Miltoniopsis like cooler temps and like to be kept evenly moist.
