Unhappy Spring humidity surprise

WOW! It was really nice out today so I opened up one window (halfway open) in the living room about 6 hours ago. Just took a stroll thru my atrium on the other end of the house. SHOCKER! The humidity level on all the meters (4) including the one in my high humidity enclosure had dropped by 20%. YIKES!!! Don't think my pleuros enjoy 40% humidity. Thank goodness I noticed it when I did!!

Something for others to think about when the seasons change.

I guess I should note... the humidity level outside (which I JUST discovered) is at 11%

Wow- What a drop! It's so dry in my house, that I'm looking forward to spring when I can let some humidity IN! My plants are doing great so it must not be too bad. I don't have a meter. I figure the plants can't read it anyway!! I can't imagine all those separate areas for growing! Paradise! I'm pretty limited as far as space goes here- but someday.....

I never measured the humidity levels in my house, but, I found out by my flowers it was LOW! Outside has become my friend. I would much prefer to keep everybody inside, but, I am not willing to do the cool mist, etc..., yet. For now, I am hoping for blooms to bring inside so I can enjoy.

For those interested in a relatively cheap hygrometer check out Radio Shack's site:

I can't believe how dry it is over there and soaked over here. I didn't even have to mist today That's how wet it got.
