Isochilus Linearis, not blooming

Hey, anyone have experience getting iso to bloom? Mine is doing nicely it likes to grow new green (can't figure out what else to call it) and especially new root, the one I have is crazy, I had to re-pot it because the square pot it was in was starting to look round
But I can't get it to bloom, I have had it for nearly a year, the culture info I have read says they bloom anytime.

Sam.

Sam,

In my orchid growing experience, orchids take some time to acclimate to your unique growing situation. They may skip one or 2 blooming cycles while they get adjusted. I do not know if Isochilus linearis blooms once or more a year but I'd not worry about it unless it goes a couple of years without blooming. Patience is the name of the game.

I have noted lately that a number of plants that suffered the dreaded neem oil treatments and showed no obvious damage or did not succumb to one of the pathogens that affected so many other plants, just simply did not bloom this year. My dozen or so Cymbidiums got regular treatments with the neem, and this year I had zero blooms, even tho they got a lot of sun during summer and a good night time chill during fall. Under less ideal conditions, I always had 3 or 4 bloom (some were/are too small). I think stress of what ever kind can keep an orchid from blooming. Perhaps this is one of the reasons that new acquisitions take a while to start blooming.

would?

Would a lack of cal mg make a plant refuse to bloom? For a while I was feeding with normal 20-20-20 using rain water, I checked the label and no cal mg.. Anyway I have some "complete" fertilizer now hope this works.. btw I think I have had this plant for 2 years, and I just found out it's pronounced (eye-so-ky-lus)
