Coco Peat

I got a Vanda Miss Joaquim. I live in Mumbai, India. Can I use Coco peat on the top of brick peaces. Here the coco peat is available in plenty. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using Coco peat . Should I mix anything with the peat? Kindly advice. Mani.

It's growth is very slow. Only four new leaf and three new roots. Why is the growth so slow. It is in full sun. Please advice.

frankly.....if you really have a Vanda Miss Joachim...you really dont need any potting mixture to raise this puppy. this grows very well just tied to a stake. Since yours is already in full sun, maybe what you are missing is the moisture it needs.

If you'll have it staked in the groud, you can put wood shavings on the ground below it and just make sure they get really really wet when watering. The sun will take care of your moisture thru evaporation

terete type vanda do start slow...but when it gets going...its tough to stop it, less you kill it ofcourse

The root have not established itself. But how many hours of sunlight does the vanda has?
How tall is the plant now? Can you post a picture? or sent it to my e-mail.

Ah just to protect yourself maninair, I don't recommend putting all your details on the internet like that. Send it in a PM instead.

You never know who is watching.
