| Can't contain the excitement The Dracula vampira is almost in bloom. I had had put in a lot of effort in keeping the moisture high and the air in circulation. The flower seems to be pretty large. I don't want to take it out to photograph it, until the sepals and petals are fully distended/extended. The last picture is from outside the glass and hence is not very clear. The colour seems to be dark purple/dark red.

| Thank you everyone . kmarch: Thanks for appreciating the work involved  My wife thinks that I am nuts to do setups like this one but my mother in law is prepared to buy me more orchids  made4engineering: I plan to get more Draculas and Paph. sanderianums. I apologise if I am pushing you to go and buy Draculas

| Wow! I love that flower. I have been dying to try one of these, but I am afraid that it would be time intensive. That picture is wonderful, definitely photo comp. worthy, and then some. Great growing.
