| I really love the pattern on it too. I couldn't believe how pretty it was when I opened it up. Hopefully the flower that fully bloomed during shipping will straighten out, because it was bent back at the top. Can't wait for the other buds to open!!!! |

| How pretty!!! I love the larger splashes of color combined with the tiny specks. Really nice. I'm waiting for an order from Carter & Holmes. They are waiting to send it until our weather gets warmer. This could be a while! Enjoy your new baby! She's a beauty!!

| Oh NO!!! I've been checking mine everyday for that dreaded fear and so far so good. Do you have it on humidity trays, and did you give it a good watering when you got it? I gave it a good worm tea dip and set it on rocks with lots of water and I took it out futher from the windows.

| Really beautiful psyc1210!! I generally don't like speckled Phals but this one is going on my wish list; it's gorgeous. I'm so sorry it's failing on you; have you looked at the roots???? Any what grower did you order it from?

| I got it from Pine Ridge Orchids. I did check the roots, and they are actually really good. Just one or two small ones that were semi squishy. I repotted this one because I didn't like the mix it was in. But the bud blast and wilted flower happened before I repotted. I'll just had to suck it up. At least I have a good healthy looking plant that I'll just cross my fingers that it has a branch coming off the main inflorescence....it appears that something is happening on a node below the first flower. |

| I really love your Phal and might order one. I'm going to look for one from a different grower, which may be impossible. There's a slight chance I will find one (or similiar) at the SB Show this weekend. I'm worried that yours is struggling and I have never had an orchid delivered with a broken tip. (Orchid Web once sent me two orchuids rolling around in the box however, both are still barely hanging on a year later) I keep tellling myself "No More Phals!" but I just love them and they grow great for me so why not?? Cyms outside, Phals inside. That's my new moto!

| wow, rolling around in the box is crazy! I was pretty bummed to see the end of the spike broken, but I figured it would be okay. Now with the flower wilting and bud blast is even more disappointing. But I'll just make sure to take good care of it so it can reflower for me again |

| You can save the flowers when a spike is bend and crushed. Use a small splint (a tooth pick is good) and four twist ties two above and two below the bend. The flowers will usually last as long as if it had never been damaged. As long as nutrients can go up the stem the flower wil be fine.
