| Stenorrhynchos potting medium & feeding? Greetings,
I recently inherited a Stenorrhynchos speciosum which is in desperate need of repotting. I've spent quite a bit of time searching for feeding instructions and potting medium, but I have been unable to find any information.
Just about all I know about this species is that it requires low light and watering sufficient to keep it from drying out.
The ridges of many of the leaves are a bit brown, and some of the leaves are beginning to turn yellow. I suspect the yellow is lack of sufficient light or over/under watering, and this is improving gradually as I nurture it along. There appears to be evidence of new growth, so overall the plant at least looks like its health has not failed altogether. The brown edges of leaves I am attributing to the lack of proper nutrients.
I suppose I could follow care and potting instructions from others in the jeweled orchid family, but would like to be sure.
Any help or pointers to resources that can be provided would be most appreciated.
Regards,
Jody |
