Neofinetia Falcata

Hi guys,
Just purchased this Neofinetia Falcata. The guy didn't know how old this one was in particular but was wondering if there are any experts out there that could see it and give me a rough idea of whether it's bloom sized?

Im not familiar with the species, it appears to be robust so I'd guess that it is blooming size.

these are mini plants and by the look of it you will have some great spikes this season. A long way aroud to say yes it a bloom size plant.

How many growths do you have? There appears to be at least six. I would say it's definitely BS.

Depending on what type it is, you can have a BS with even 1 growth, or you can have a hundred growths and have a plant not even bloom for several years.

I think you're safe to say that you have a plant that will bloom.

but when I saw and started reading about these fascinating Neofinetias it was all over, lol. Would have loved to have placed it in a small japanese pot on a mound of moss, but it's already mounted so I think I shall leave it the way it is and hope I can get the culture down

Truthfully I think you're better with the mount. One thing I've noticed about the traditional mound potting style is that the wrap has to be done just right and the watering has to be done very carefully. You can get leaf rot easily. I lost a couple of leaves and had to readjust the mound to keep it from happening again.

The specific name "falcata" should not be capitalized. Only generic names, hybrid names (grex), and cultivar names are capitalized.
