| Patlee, during its time outside I get it as much filtered sunlight as I can get it through mid day then its sheltered by my house. During its time inside (winter months) I have it either in an E or W window. Both these windows give it a little direct sun each day. Right now its watered every 7-10 days and fertilyzed once a month. During the summer it gets fert every 2 weeks & watered once a week unless it gets hot. |

different orchid genera, you find the genus name as Degarmoara (Dgma). It is an intergeneric hybrid consisting of the orchid genera Brassia, Miltonia, and Odontoglossum. I'm wondering if this is an error in the spelling of this orchid or an acceptable name. |

| *borrows the Naming Nazi shiny helmet of doom* The *correct* name is Degarmoara Winter Wonderland 'White Fairy'. As mentioned before, Degarmoara is an intergeneric hybrid genus. Winter Wonderland is a grex name, or the name given to ALL seedlings resulting from the cross of Miltassia Cartagena x Odontoglossum Gledhow, the reciprogal cross (Odm. Gledhow x Mtssa. Cartagena), any selfing of a Dgmra. Winter Wonderland, and any cross of siblings from the original cross, a reciprocal cross, or a selfing. Grex names are *not* latinized and are always capitalized. 'White Fairy' is a cultivar epithet (clone name) given to *ONE* particular plant that the grower or perhaps an awarding body felt deserved special recognition and, in the case of your plant, cloning. Cultivar epithets are capitalized and always set inside single quotation marks. Just FYI. -Cj |

| For the first time since I bought it, my Winter Wonderland WF has three spikes! One spike is finished (it bloomed at Christmas) and the last two are blooming together and I can't take my eyes off of it. |

Hi i'm new here and browsing to see what this looks like as Ibought a seedling last October. It had two pseudobulbs then and is growing a third. How big will it have to be to flower and all hints on how to get it there gratefully received. It's currently in an east facing window, and gets watered whenever it really dries out, but always once a week as it's in a three inch pot on coconut husk chips ( what it was raised in) It also has a new root visible. Like I say any tips would help. Thanks

| Hedge Your plant can flower this year they do not need to be very large. 3 bulbs is plenty. Then it can keep growing, I had a number of overflowing 8 inch pots this winter with up to 6 flower stems

| Hedge, First of all Welcome to the forum! I think Jerry is speaking of mature plants not seedlings. A seedling will probably take 2-3 years before it is flowering size.
