| Rest easy. You've done nothing wrong from the sounds of it. It was fine, preferable actually, to leave the 2 bulbs together. Separating them would not have triggered growth and would only have weakened the plant. Keep doing it by the book and you should be ok.

| So glad to hear from fellow fanatics. AND lo and behold, while the server was down, I believe there may have been the tiniest sign of growth of roots on 'everglade'!!! Either the lesson is to complain and whine to make things happen, or the server going down is good for us... OR like you say, patience just wins out. I'll keep you'all posted but my hope is renewed. Thanks
