Sap on bud

Cymbidium doing beautiful but noticed a few black spots on one leaf and circled other blemish, probably transit recovery.

Also she is orange in color or brown that is what I read is not admired?

If brown I still think she is beautiful. Just want to make sure I care for her properly.

Also have 1st Phal. with 2 new spikes on old spike. Wired direction but healthy.

Sap on an orchid can be caused by aphids or it can be "happy sap" which is a sign that the orchid is happy. Examine the plant for aphids. If you don't see any then the plant is happy. Happy sap is sweet, like honey.

Is the sap related only to buds? Does it ever appear on a growth without aphid involvment?

The sap seems to come indiscrimanately. Have it on the leaves.

I get the sap drops appearing on Cattleya Buds sometimes. I dont have problems with aphids, but I tend to gently wipe the drops up anyway.

What I'm anxiously trying to figure out is whether I have a growth or a flower spike coming on my Walkeriana. The growth that is coming is covered with sap and I don't have aphids. Any insight on what's coming will be gratefully appreciated. I'm about to jump out of my skin waiting for this!
