I'd like to introduce the new chid to the family

I just got a package today from my first time winning an ebay bid. I got it from eorchids. Its a mericlone of Lc. Caudebec 'Marty's Orchids'. Its seedling size about 3" tall. I cant wait for it to grow up. Since it has Laelia in its lineage, is there anything I should know about?

Laelias are part of the Cattleya alliance. Therfore, provide similar culture.

I grow my lone laelia (soon to be many) cork bark mounted and it lives outdoors all year. It can take temperature extremes from 25 degrees to over 100 degrees in very dry conditions. They are very drought tolerant, so mounting is a good option. I think this is the type of orchid that the more I ignore it the better it will do!! Not unlike my roses....

Last September, I bought my first Laelia (L. liliputana...cute, tiny thing). Love at first sight! LOL I'm so into mini/small things, including plants.

Now that I know more about rupiculous Laelias, I want more (actually on a search for a few specific ones ). They will do well in my growing conditions.

Caudebec is not one of the faster growing orchids in this group, so expect 2-3 years to flower from this size. The photo looks like a 1 inch plug that has recently been potted in a two inch pot.

It does not take any special care different from other Cattleya.

I am not familiar with this color morph, but the spotting in the photo is smaller than that from other growers.
