| Mini Catt.? I am caretaking about a dozen orchids for my landlady this winter (she being in south Florida!). Among them is this little beauty. It looks like it might be a mini Catt. The photos are very close to actual size. |

| mini cats are not a separate group of orchids but a general term to mean they will stay small. I use the term mini to mean a Cattleya that does not get bigger than 6 inches although others may include plants to 12 inches in the definition.

| I used to grow african violets. There are huge ,medium, small, & micro-minis. Everything in-between also! You can give a mini all the food in the world, but it won't ever be a large plant. Kind of like giving lots of dog food to a miniature poodle, and hoping for a great dane! I'm starting to understand that orchids are a lot like that also. ![]() |
