Long Leafed-Phal. Bloom
As has been mentioned before the long leafed-Phal that I have has bloomed. Just 4 buds

They are a mellow purple in colour

Wow! That is ONE LONG spike to only have four buds! Has this plant bloomed before for you and what was the last spike like if it did?

evagentry: This is an unusually long stalk.

mayres: No it had not. This is a 'rescue' [plant from way back in late spring of this year.The stalk is very strong and the flowers are big; bigger than the others I currently have in bloom.
