| You would need to ask the seller really, they will have grown them from young to flowering size so could give you a good estimate. I know how you feel about young plants, they are cheaper, but unless you cant get a flowering size one, it is better to spend the bit extra and get a strong flowering size plant, unless there very expensive at such a size, I'm unsure. | Sara: I buy plants from Oak Hills on a regular basis. They're a wonderful group of professionals and have some outstanding orchids. They will certainly answer any of your questions. Go to their website and send them an e-mail. They'll be happy to answer any of your questions. Otherwise, you can call their toll-free number and speak to someone directly. They have always been very helpful to me. |

| Is amboinensis one with typical sized Phal leaves? Nope. Orchid Species Encyclopedia shows very large leaves, that is one of the reasons I don't have it. I am going to guess it is going to take a number of years to get up to blooming size. On the other hand, I bought a lot of Phal species very recently from them like schilleriana, stuartiana and leucorrhoda (philippinense) in 2 1/4" and 2 1/2" pots, and the 2 1/2" pots and some of the 2 1/4" pots are now in spike.
