| Spiking Plants I have been not feeling up to snuff lately and, except for watering my orchids, have not been watching my plants very carefully. Yesterday I was looking though my mottly collection and found: 4 of my phals have spiled, one Oncidium(Winter Wonderland) has spiked, the zygopetlum is spiking, & a couple of cats are spiking. I am looking forward to a great bloom in the early winter. Maybe I should ignore them more often. ![]() |

| The old adage "A watched pot never boils" seems to really apply when you're looking for new spikes or growth. Several times when I haven't paid as much attention to the 'chids as I usually do, they reward me with a new spike. It's almost like they know when they're not being catered to and respond; "Well how to you like this". Hope your feeling better soon. I'm sure your plants will cheer you up. |
