Unhappy loss of leaves

My Brassia, which put out five spikes this year, has suddenly lost all of its leaves. The bulbs are bright green, full and healthy. Will the leaves grow back?
BTW, Happy Thanksgiving to all of the American Geeks. Lisa

Like Joe notes, no return of the leaves on previously grown pseudobulbs. The new growths should all come in normally with good leaves. You should have at least two years worth of pseudobulbs left with leaves. Also good question of Joe - possibly root rot? Any possibility you have been overwatering or not draining adequately? Did the last (newest) pseudobulbs you have on the plant send out spikes and bloom or did they loose their leaves too before blooming? Another possibility - did it even send out new growth since its last blooming?

Hi Lisa, I recently read somewhere that a Brassia lost all its leaves due to not being sufficiently shaded from the sun. This is not in my experience as I don't grow Brassias, I wonder if Mike has come across this?

I can imagine this happening. Fortunately not on my three - Eeeeks! Mine do seem to loose their older leaves sooner than other orchids - only two sets of growths have leaves - the others are all leafless. I don't pretend to be an expert on them - still learning too.
