Great choices! What is the little one? Almost looks like my Tamakongo.
The little one is a Himesekai. As for the pots, I'm probably going to put the larger ones I have in the larger pots, and smaller in the smaller pots LOL...makes sense...but what I'm trying to do is color coordinate as well. I don't want the pots to take away from the plant or flower color itself. I'm currently trying to find cream/tan pots for green colored Neos as well...I guess you can say I'm picky!

Oh, I picked up my brother yesterday from the airport. He's back from his trip from Japan and he gave me a book of what he thought was of Neos...very close, but no cigar! He picked one up for Japanese cyms which were interesting to me anyways since I don't know much about them. Very nice pictures

Button, I love the little one! It's so cute. Is it a bean-leaf? Like your pots too.

Yep, that one is a bean leaf for sure. The difference between a Himesekai and a regular Sekai is that the one I have has more curved leaves. I just didn't expect it to be that small, but we'll see how it grows in the coming months.

Therese, I love the tiny bean leaf one too. SOOO CUTE!!! I saw one in Japan Town but opted to buy the green neo. instead. It'll be next on my list though.
Love them pots. Blue is pretty. I was in a Japanese dollar store yesterday and saw some cute little bowls. I think if I can drill holes on the bottom of them, they'd make cute pots. I'll give that a try one of these days.
As for the Cym. book, it's better than nothing. At least he brought something back. That's more than I can say for my cousin. He said he didn't get a chance to look for any Neos. and that he didn't know how to find a store. I guess I can't blame him. It's hard to get around in a foreign country if you don't speak the language. Good thing I have a Japan Town nearby.

Therese,

Those Neos look healthy...nice green! Love the pots! How did I miss those when I was there a few weeks ago? Oh well...next time.

The pots actually came from a different store, not Katsura Garden. I went to Soko Hardware, across the street on the bottom floor. They have some bonsai supplies, but not much. Katsura Garden has more of the flatter type of pots for the trees...haven't had much luck for pots for Neos there.

Oh! I'll have to stop by Soko hardware next time. I hope I can find some cute Neo pots there.

I did pick up a set of pots with flat bottoms. With those, I'm thinking of placing the potted Neos inside.

I got a new noe today! It's a Neofinetia falcata [Ami Ami form] x Holcoglossum kimballiana. They havn't seen the flowers yet but expect they will be anywhere from a cream color to a light pink. I will post pics after I repot it!
