I use the cinnamon spray and that seems to help.

Which ones are you bidding on Kortney, that way I won't bid. I would like to see about either the Setsuzan or the Koganenishiki.

I want to try not to bid against orchidgeeks!

I've been wanting to try the cinnamon spray, but haven't been able to find cinnamon extract.

Pssst...I plan on bidding on Kogane Nishiki.

Who knows what I will do as I just bought those new ones! Any others you are interested in?

I did see a few others that I could bid on.

I hope you get some!

I don't like to bid on anything someone already has a bid on. It sucks cause that means I don't win much. It's kinda weird. I look for items where there's no bids yet. LOL!!!

Good luck you guys. May the richest Geek win!

Good luck on those. I will be anxious to see the cross from Nia's Orchids. I have seen the ad and wondered about it. I hope you win!

I am not bidding on any of those!

new Neo's (again!)

I got my new Neo's today!! They look pretty good! I got a Tamakongo which was very dry on arrival so I gave it a good soak then potted it up. Looks great!

From Satomi, I got the Kujakumaru which is a small plant and sooo cute It has wide leaves and thin leaves on the same plant.

Then, I got the Kinrokaku which is a tiger stripe one and it is HUGE, 8 fans all sprouting new leaves, I didn't see any spike but that is OK. The best part is that it has ruby roots! I was very surprised to see that! I love this one!!!

I also got some more of the black clay Neo pots and now all my Neos are in the clay pots.

April,

You got some nice Neos there. I have a Yodonomatsu, smaller version of the Tamakongo. Your Kujakumaru has 2 (3?) growths...looks better than mine.

Well, if I win any Neos from ebay this weekend, I'll let you know which one(s). I'm hoping to win the ones I want for my collection.

Thanks, I am very happy with what I got. I hope you win on ebay! I am very surprised at how much some of them are already going for!

It was hard to do the mound for the Kujakumaru cause it is so small. So it doesn't have as big a mound as some of the others. Yes, it has 3 growths and they look great!

Wow, smaller than the Tamakongo! I think mine is small! It seems like you have several of the mini ones.

Good luck on ebay, I put a couple of bids on, but we'll see. I was pretty happy to get one with ruby roots!

April, those look great, as smal as it is you did a great job repotting it!

I won the Neofinetia falcata x Asctm Miniatum from Nia's orchids for $11.25 and I got a surprise this morning! I went to hoosier orchids and Leon had something for me! I got a Neostylis charm 'Blue Star' in spike!!! It has blue flowers and they are lightly scented! He also showed me some of his personal collection of neos. He has several different hybrids right now from seedling up to 7-10 growths! Range is $18 for seedlings to $35 for the large growth plants. He has several seedling of the hybrid with reddish leaves and red flowers.

It looks like there will be nine flowers on the spike for the one I got! I will start a new thread for it with pictures. My camera batteries died

That is great! I can't wait to see the pictures! Only 35.00 for large growth plants, wow! What kind does he have? That is a great price.

I would like to get another one with ruby roots.

Did you win anything from Satomi?

The one i got from him today has one large huge fan that had three previous blooms on it and the current spike and a baby for $28! They have regular ones and tons of hybrids. I jokingly said I will be back every pay day, lol! He had started crossing them a while back I guess and never mentioned it when I bought the neo falcata. I don't know how I didn't notice them last time I went there. PM me for his email. There were so many of them I couldn't remember which ones they were. I don't know if he has them listed in the catalog or the website or not yet I haven't checked it for a few months. Needless to say my jaw hit floor. I kinda wish I hadn't been bidding on all those or I would've gotten more today. I have two more I am bidding on the Togen and the tachitaiho. I won the seigyokumaru (Sedieria japonica).

April -- Yes, I like minis. Oh, I won on ebay...Kogane Nishiki and Shunkyuden. I apologize if I outbid you and anyone else here. I wasn't expecting to win. And, yes, I'm crazy to spend that much! Getting extra cash (hubby shared his recent bonus...always does ) just doesn't help! LOL

Kortney -- Congrats on winning Sedirea japonica 'Seigyokumaru'! Good luck on the Togen and Tachitaiho! And, no, I'm not bidding on them.

I, too, recently got a Darwinara Charm 'Blue Star', but haven't gotten around to posting a pic of the blooms (just opened a few days ago). if you start a thread on it, I hope you won't mind if I share my pic there.

Congrats on winning! I did not bid more on the KoganeNishiki as I really think I want one with ruby roots.

I think I will bid on the Hanagoromo.

LOL spending, I hear ya!!!

Kortney that is great that you won the Sedirea!

Can't wait to see the pics.

I also sent an email to Satomi as I am looking for a specific Neo, Higuma. If it is not toooo expensive!!

Ooooh, April. I want the Higuma, too! LOL PM or email me when you get a price from Satomi. How much would you like to bet it's probably in the $1000 range?

It's funny how we like a lot of the same Neos!

LOL! We just have a taste for the "finer" things in life

I am sure that it is probably way out of my range but then I have something to save for!!!

Which ones do you have that have the ruby roots? I wish the book would say on each one, they only list it on some of them!

Do you have any of the tiger stripe ones or is the Kogane Nishiki the first one? I really like the look of the light colored leaves with the green ones. I think my Kinrokaku is my favorite so far!

I am going to try and get an Asocfinetia Peaches from ebay. I think Kortney is bidding on it too! I really like the color of it and as I have a Cherry Blossom I thought it would be fun to have both!
