Flower spike?

Hi everyone!

I had purchased a couple of cattleya orchids 2.5 years ago as seedlings. I was watering my orchids as usual and noticed something coming out of the middle of a leaf. Is this a flower spike??? I was so excited since i have been waiting so long to see what the flower will look like. I guess my other 7 cattleyas still need more time to mature. Here are some pictures.

That is a flower spike and 2 1/2 years is about the right time frame for flowering from plug size seedling.
