Odontoglssom, what next.

My odontoglossom (Beallara Tahoma Glacier) has finished blooming.

What happens to the leaves. Do they die back?

Do odontoglossoms have a shorter flowering period than other orchids?
The reason I ask is because all four flowers seemed to fade together and I wondered whether this was due to a drop in temperature or a natural process.

Can anyone advise me please.

Thankyou, Chris

If you are used to phals most other orchids will have a shorter bloom season - some significantly. I have a similar plant that started with its first open bloom last week. It has one more bud to yet open. Once they are all open the "show" usually lasts about two weeks for me. The older pseudobulbs usually have yellowing leaves that drop during the fall (at least my experience) - you should have three years of growth or so that keep leaves. Enjoy! mike
