Is this potted too high

I just got the new S/H pot and put my new phal. in it.

Just wondering if the pot is too small for my plant.

Any comments welcomed.

Morphii,

At first glance it appears as though they are potted a little high. It is suggested that when potting into S/H that you pot the plant a little lower than usual. I just repotted a phal into S/H and I made sure that all of the roots were in the container.

Also, did you rinse and soak your LECA for 24 hours before potting? If not, you will have to water a little more frequently in the begining until the LECA soaks up enough liquid.

Good luck with the S/H.

Jay

I would say not high but it seems sideways. I would wait until it finishes blooming and after you cut the stem off then I would repot and try to straighten it out, of coarse if you like it that way then leave it. It does look kind of neat that way and it would be helpful with not getting water in the crown

Thanks for the comments. I soaked it overnight. I just purchased some KLN and will add to it.

I also got some new pots that are bigger and deeper. I will post more pics when I get them.
