| I got a new den and a new cattleya!!! I am so happy to report that I have my hands on Dendrobium Sonia King Dragon. Personally, this is the ultimate hybrid of den-phal type dendrobium. Great size flowers and the color is striking with it's semi peloric formation! The orchid lady I get mine from had 3 and it took me 30 min of convincing to let go of one.. Another plant I got today is what she told me Cat. bowringiana blue. I am not sure what it is.. but I will take some pictures of the plant when I have some time to come around to it. It's very tall plant with almost cane like psedobulbs with multiple soft pastell lavender / sky blue colored flowers. I think the plant itself without the flower stalks and not counting the leaves is about 2 feet tall. Quiet lovely plant it is. However one thing about cattleyas is that their flowers don't last as longas phals or dens. Last edited by ogus; 10-04-2007 at 01:41 AM. |

| Congratulations on your new babies.
__________________ "If nature ever showed her playfulness in the formation of plants, this is visible in the most striking way among the orchids. They take on the form of little birds, of lizards, of insects, a man, a woman, sometimes like a clown who excites our laughter. They represent the image of a lazy tortoise, a melancholy toad, an agile, ever-chattering monkey. Nature has formed orchid flowers in such a way that, unless they make us laugh, they surely excite our greatest admiration." Jacob Breynius |

| Nice additions Ogus. I have a King Dragon that I purchased through E-bay 2 1/2 years ago. It arrived in pretty bad shape. I've been nursing it along and now it has 2 huge canes but it hasn't flowered yet. Hoping to get some blooms next spring. Good luck with yours. |
