New Catt.

I purchased a new Catt. from my local orchid doctor. I was able to find
pics of the parents, but not of the cross. Anybody have one or know
what the blooms look like. The name is Cattleya Dubiosa x Blc. Fuch's Orange
Nuggett. Could not find if it is registered as well. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Tobi

Hmmmm....It would appear that your cross has not yet been registered and named Tobi. However, here's a bit of news: Fuch's Orange Nuggett is one of the hybrids affected by the change in the generic name of Cattleya aurantiaca to Guarianthe aurantiaca. The new hybrid name for Blc Fuch's Orange Nuggett is now Thwaitesara Fuch's Orange Nuggett.

Thanks Kevin. I just read that the genus Thwaitesara was formerly Thwaites
ara named after someone named Thwaites.
