Question Color enhancer question

Is there any type of water additive or fertilizer which acts as a color enhancer for orchid flowers? Lisa

Lisa, I have no idea, but, I think you have a great question. I would love to enhance a couple of my orchids. I will be watching this one.

Some orchids (Masdevallias, Phrag besseae and besseae hybrids, others) bloom with brighter colours when the temps are cool. That's the only colour enhancer I know.

Kevin is right... cooler temperatures and lower light both make a difference. Other than that, I don't know of anything that is proven, though there are plenty of products that make outrageous claims.
