Dangerously close to orchid doc.

It's very dangerous living 10 minutes away from your orchid doctor but when you need that fix, danger plays no part in the equation.

Machiela's Orchids who I found on ebay is my new best friend. His plants are breathtakingly gorgeous and I'm in trouble, deep!

Today I bought this sweet Nanipuakea Dogashima

Last week I bought an Lc Tropical Pointer 'Cheetah'

photo's from Machiela's Orchids

Sometimes I wish I had an orchid grower close to where I live, but then after reading this and looking at your pics I realize it is best that I do not. Too much temptation would not be good for me. It has taken me some time to just get to the point that I can resist the average plants found at grocery stores, departent stores, big box stores, and the like.........

Lovely pickups Sandra. My Dogashima just finished blooming off the second
spike. Just love the blooms. Got new growth coming already, so I'm hoping
for a second bloom time maybe this year.

Go ahead, buy more, buy more, buy more...... they're way too pretty to resist and, after all, just in case you need further justification for your addiction, his wife is pregnant and they need the additional income. There, do you feel better now??? Hehehehehehe

I'm not quite sure which one are you asking about pikevi? The Dogashima's background is a winter-white, you can see by the lip's contrast. I believe the Cheetah will be also.

P.S. I love your signature line!

Tobi, I should have know you'd have one too. Relatively small plant in comparison to the size of the flowers which I love. I was told they continuously bloom with each new growth, so it makes for great anticipation throughout the year, not bad!

Ellen, not far from the truth. They recently had twins to add to their 2 other very young children. He's just a nice guy. I'd rather give him my money, they're a young, nice family!

awesome plants sandra
I know what it is like living close to the Orchid Doctor mine is about 15 minutes away by car.

last week I had some sphag in my car for the orchid doctor.
I still had the sphag in my car when I went to Hobart anyway on the way home from Hobart the police pulled me over and I was asked to open the back of my car the police thought I had dope in the plastic bags.

I wonder who the dope was lol
I took the sphag to my orchid doctor and told him of the above and we had a good laugh.

Too funny Fred. Speeding again?

Speaking of dope, I read an interesting article about growing marijuana the hydro-ponic way and it's the most expensive, sought after pot on the streets. Stronger, more potent than grown under usual conditions. I wonder if Amsterdam is selling it in their cafe's and if it's more expensive than what else they offer on the menus? Interesting....

60 miles away can be good also
you might not go there as often but when you do you can get a few more orchids to save you going again so soon.

the things we do to get orchids
I have been known to drive to Hobart for orchids

Hey Sandra, check this out...

Blc Waianae Leopard 'Ching Hue' I've been looking at this for a couple of weeks now. Remarkably similar.

I picked up a Nanipuakea Dogashima a few months ago and am looking forward to those blooms as you are.

SB, there's some mental telepathy going on here. I was just looking for the category for general chat on orchid comp. pics when you posted this. I saw your entry in the comp. section and was going to ask you if that was a Waianae Leopard and there you go.......how odd! You must have heard my thoughts. I really, really love this flower!!! I have one and am getting another one soon....my order's in. It's similar to the Cheetah but this one has it beat by far!

That pic. you submitted is outstanding, gorgeous, beautiful.

We were reading each other SB! Very cool....

Well, there ya go. You know just about the only thing faster than the speed of light is the speed of thought. You're what, 4,500 mi away from me??

I thought you would get a charge from that pic. Not bad production from a plant I've owned since earlier this year. Did you see the yellow Hwa Yuan Gold in the comp file also?

cheers.
J

Sandra: You have answered the question , thanks.

They say that telepathy is seen in people very close to each other / one another.

Very close friends and couples married for long time seem to have developed some
