Pot Question.

Okay so I am big into recycling. and I have water bottles that neighbor gives us or that I find in the ground. I was wondering If I could use the bottom of the water bottle, make little holes and make a pot out of it. I think it will be nice seing roots growing and it will help to see if the roots are healthy, needs water ect.

So am I being crazy or is it a good idea?
I have three Phals and I made the mistake of killing my first Phal.
I bought 2 and a friend gave me a mini phal because he thought it was dying. 20 dead roots and only 3 mesley green roots later it seems to be doing good.

If you guys use other material can you please tell me what it is? PLEASE hehe.

actually that is a good idea it would work great for smaller plants and smaller species

Cool. Thanks, I also have some avocados that I just planted and roots are growing maybe I'll transplant them to the plastic container.
