A nice table top display

This makes for good conversation without any flowers. Bowen stuck his nose in there just as the shutter fired.

Blc. Lois McNiel 'Ace'. Both plants.

s_b,

Wonderful job on the mount! I just placed an order for a few grapewood tree and can hardly wait to mount a few minis on them.

You have a beautiful dog.

Thanks for sharing.

Did you do that mount SB? I love it, you're right, what a conversation piece. How do you water it? I am very interested. Everyone seems to know it's grapewood, once again, I'm the novice. Where do you purchase the wood?

That is incredible. I wish that we has a little more humidity around here so I could try to mount something half as nice as that. Beautiful orchid and mount, and dog too.

See, catts and dogs do get along! Bowen is a beauty. That catt looks sensational. All of your mounts that you've posted are beautiful but I think I like this the best. I'll be attempting my first mount shortly and definitely with grapewood, it's quite extraordinary.

Very innovative, slippery_biscuit.

May I ask how you managed to get the orchids 'stick' originally?

Thanks.

Follow up data:
The grapewood via eBay. Since I've found a great supply... the local pet store. They have grapewood, treefern, cork, other exotic woods, all for fish, birds and reptiles. Stop, shop, buy. Done deal. And it has been cleaned and sterilized.

They get wetted down good in the AM. A misting or two thruout the day.

I did this mount late winter or spring. Initially I used stainless wire, very fine. Could have used fishing line but it is easier for me to use the wire. Doesn't take much and it isn't very tight, when put on. After the roots dug in I removed the wire.

thnx and cheers!
Jeff
