| split cattleya leaf One of my older cattleyas has a split leaf. It's on an older ps.bulb and I can't stand looking at it. It's unsightly and if it won't cause any harm or setback, can I cut just the leaf off or most part of it off without disturbing the ps.bulb? Of course, I'd treat the cut. P.S. Is it called a leaf? | Sandra, If the leaf is green and alive, then it is providing the plant with a source of energy. Cutting it off will reduce the plant's ability to make energy for itself. It might be unsightly but probably better that than than a weaker plant. -K
