Umm, I agree with the above, please clarify what you mean by collected from the jungle. If you mean one that was legally collected by government approved collectors, or a seedling grown from seed collected in the jungle, once again by someone approved to do that, then I think it would be okay. But, if this is some plant that some illegal poacher went an ripped it off of a tree, then is planning on selling it to you, it is going to die. In order to remove one from a tree, they would have to cut ALL of the roots off, and gigantea is one of the slowest growing phals out there, so the plant will somehow have to support several 16+" leaves and then slowly grow new roots, something that is rare even when it is kept in the same climate from which it was taken.
