| Post Flowering Care - Rossioglossum grande What is the correct post flowering care of one of these plants ? I was told to let it completely dry out by the grower (very reputable). But, he didn't stipulate whether that means moist dry, or bone dry. Also do you trim the leaves off the PB post flowering or leave them on ? The one I have only had leaves on the flowering PB, all the others had been removed, so just wondering what others do.

| Anton, That's one on my wish list. From what I have read about it grows in cool to intermediate conditions. It has waxy flowers from about 5-9 inches across. It flowers in autumn to spring. In the summer make sure it's more on the warmer side, lots of water and fertilizer. In the winter, cool drier conditions. Filtered light. Relatively free from outside bug infestation. |

| Pikevi, I also came up with zilch. I know about the flowering (see my Web site www.antondrew.com), it's just post flowering care I am interested in. The grower who is reputable here in Oz said to dry it out after flowering but didn't elaborate on whether it was to go bone dry, or just moist/dry, that's what I am trying to find out.

| Yes I understand, I am just coming up with more info if I type Odontoglossum. I actually learned a few things myself while looking. Oh and when it says sheets it means leaves hee hee. Some of it was just a little weird when transalted, but I think you can get the general idea.

| Well fromjust looking at photos of the plant, its got bulbs, so it'd be ok to let it get quite dry, only water every other time for a month maybe? I dont really worry much about post flowering for any of my orchids, i let them have a few weeks of less watering to dry off abit then give them a nitro boost |

| Thanks Tom, I'll see how it goes. Don't want to lose this one, I like it a lot.
