Sea_Sun,

Congrats on the new growth! It's always fun to see new growth on an orchid, a sign that it is doing well and may give you more blooms in the future.

Just one small correction on the name, the latter part of the name 'Swiss Beauty' should have single quotation marks around it. This is what we call a "cultivar ephitet" and is given when a plant wins an award of some kind from an orchid judging body like the American Orchid Society (AOS) or the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS). Sometimes awarded plants are cloned or divided. When this occurs all of the clones or divisions of the original plant also carry the cultivar ephitet.

Sea Sun
Long name for a small orchid

I don't think so. Wait until you have it filling an 8-10 inch pot with 6-8 two foot flower spikes.

Your plant looks like its first flowering season. It has a long way to go and will get better and better each year.
